After six years as EDEMO Electric Bikes, we have evolved into ebikeist. Our Nailsworth showroom is now closed and we are settled at our permanent home on the edge of Dartmouth. The team is the same, our standards are the same, and our commitment to practical, honest advice remains at the centre of what we do.
Our location history
- 2019 to 2025: Trading as EDEMO Electric Bikes from a showroom in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire. Six years of business as EDEMO.
- 2025 into early 2026: Briefly based in Kingsbridge, Devon while we secured our permanent site.
- April 2026 onwards: Settled at our current and final location in Little Dartmouth, Devon. Rebranded as ebikeist at the same time.

Why we changed
The past few years have reshaped the e-bike world. Rather than chase volume for the sake of it, we chose to simplify, focus, and get back to what we enjoy most: riding, testing, and helping you choose the right bike. The move to Devon lets us run online-first, create more useful content, and spend more time on the trails so our recommendations are grounded in real use.

If you bought from us during our Nailsworth or Kingsbridge years, the service relationship continues.
Bristol and Gloucestershire: AJ, our mechanic, offers mobile servicing on-site at your home or workplace, with the same checks and maintenance you would expect in-store.
Devon and the wider South West: our return-to-base service from Little Dartmouth covers Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
What does "ebikeist" mean?
We picked a name that reflects who we are. A cyclist rides a bike. An ebikeist lives the e-bike life: practical during the week, adventurous at the weekend, and always curious about better tech, better routes, and better ways to explore.
