Bosch Gen 5 Performance Line CX Motor Update | Enhanced Torque & Power
Unlock Extra Power in Bosch’s Gen 5 Performance Line CX Motor!
If you’re eagerly awaiting your new Riese & Müller Superdelite5 or Homage5 equipped with Bosch’s Gen 5 Performance Line CX motor, there’s exciting news to get you even more interested. Bosch has recently announced an impressive update to their Flow App (coming July), enabling future owners of Gen 5 motors to customise their motor settings for increased torque and peak power. This update is a genuine game-changer, and puts Bosch’s new motor back in the picture offering advantages over competitors in the ebike motor tech race.
More Than Just Quiet Performance
Initially, Bosch’s Gen 5 motors gained attention primarily for their quieter, smaller, and lighter design—impressive improvements, but perhaps not headline news for those craving top-end performance. This latest announcement, however, changes the conversation.
Riders can now unlock up to 100 Nm (previously 85Nm) of torque and 750 watts of peak power (Previously 600 watts) through the Bosch eBike Flow app. This update also increases the maximum support level to 400%, offering enhanced acceleration and climbing capabilities.
Customise Your Ride Experience
Bosch outlines how easy it will be to use the Flow App to choose between standard and performance-optimised settings, tailoring motor assistance specifically to your preferred riding style or the terrain you’ll encounter. Whether you’re planning to tackle challenging trails with a bike loaded up with overnight gear or want responsive acceleration around town, you can now easily change the power to suit your ride.
