Riese and Muller Nevo5 First Look from Eurobike 2025

Say hello to the next generation of Riese & Müller’s most accessible and comfortable step-through e-bike, the Nevo5. Dan got a chance to ride an early prototype at Eurobike 2025 and came away seriously impressed.

From frame sizing tweaks to motor upgrades and better integration throughout, the Nevo5 is a thoughtful evolution of a much-loved design. While it’s not due in the UK until early 2026, here’s what we know so far.

Refined comfort, future-ready power

Dan test rode a very early Nevo5 in Ice Blue, configured with the Bosch motor and Enviolo hub (Vario spec). He came away praising the upright, smooth, and remarkably comfortable ride. As before, the Nevo is still easy to hop on and off, but the new frame feels noticeably stiffer and more stable.

This version featured Bosch Performance Line CX Motor Gen 5. We know that some of Nevo models will use the new Bosch Performance Line PX motor. More info to come on which models specifically. Read more about the PX motor.

Key upgrades and options

  • New frame sizes starting at 40 cm (previously 43 cm), and now all sizes use 27.5″ wheels for better consistency across the range. Suits riders from 1.55 m to 2.05 m tall

  • Motor and gearing options include:

    • Touring (chain and derailleur)

    • Vario (manual Enviolo hub)

    • Automatic (Enviolo auto)

    • Rohloff E14

    • Pinion MGU (motor and gearbox in one unit)

  • Top-loading battery makes removal easier and protects it from road spray

  • Charging port now located on the top tube with a more secure, mud-resistant cover

  • Bosch eBike ABS available on most models (except Vario & Pinion)

  • Fox suspension fork included on Rohloff and Pinion builds

  • RX Chip included as standard, giving you alarm and tracking capability

  • Cafe lock and chain extension as standard

  • Compatible with Bosch Powermore Range Extender (250 Wh additional battery)

Colours and model variations

The Nevo5 will be available in four colours:
Ice Blue (as tested), Ruby Red, Pure White, and Slate Grey

You can choose between standard builds and the new Core version. The Core model starts at around £4,500 with a 600 Wh battery and 10-speed Touring spec. It comes with fewer customisation options but offers quicker delivery and a lower price.

High-speed versions will also be available across most specs, including Pinion and Rohloff (not available on the Enviolo models). As with all HS bikes in the UK, these will require DVLA registration, a moped licence, and insurance.

Nevo5 versus the competition

Dan found the ride experience incredibly smooth. It has an upright and relaxed position, but still felt capable and well-balanced. The luggage carrier now includes an extra rail for more flexible loading options.

A big change is that Rohloff models will soon be available with Automatic shifting. This will be a strong rival to the Pinion MGU system, offering another premium option for riders who want top-end performance with minimal effort.

When can you get it?

The Riese & Müller Nevo5 is expected to arrive in the UK in February or March 2026. We’ll keep this page updated as soon as orders open.
