I built ebikeist around Riese & Müller, and I do not add a second brand lightly. Moustache earned its place. They are a French maker who build nothing but e-bikes, and after a lot of riding I picked the five Moustache e-bikes we now stock in the UK, a range chosen to widen what we offer without giving up the long-distance, premium feel our customers come to us for.
We stock five Moustache lines at ebikeist, the Riese & Müller and Moustache dealer in Dartmouth, Devon. The Clutch is a Pinion-gearbox full-suspension all-rounder. The Game is a high-power Bosch CX mountain bike. The Xroad range are the SUV bikes capable of a variety of terrain with a step-through frame, with the Xroad FS being a full-suspension all-road hybrid. The Dimanche 29 Gravel is a light drop-bar adventure bike. The Lundi is a relaxed city bike. If you only want a headline: Clutch and Game for the hills, Xroad and Xroad FS for mixed-surface days with luggage, Dimanche for fast gravel and lanes, and Lundi for town.

Why we added Moustache to ebikeist
Riese & Müller set the bar for build quality and long-range touring, and we still stock and service the full line. Moustache sits alongside them rather than instead of them. It gives us proper off-road platforms, a full-suspension all-road bike and a light drop-bar gravel bike, which are exactly the rides our customers kept asking us about. Prices are our current "from" figures and include in-stock bikes, so a factory order built to your spec may differ. The Clutch from price is an in-stock Clutch SUV 150.7 EQ; the Clutch 160 mountain-bike family starts at £7,199. The Game from-price is the 150.5, which has a 750 Wh battery; the rest of the Game range has 600 Wh as standard with a 750 Wh option. The Lundi is a lighter-touch listing for us rather than a core line, so stock is more occasional.
Which Moustache e-bike is right for you?
The quickest way to narrow it down is to start with where you ride, not with the spec sheet.

Clutch
The Clutch runs a Pinion MGU, a sealed gearbox motor with a belt drive on most trims, so there is no exposed derailleur to knock or maintain and very little to look after through a wet South West winter.
It comes in two flavours. The Clutch SUV 150.7 EQ is the do-everything trim, with 150 mm of travel plus a full pack of lights, mudguards, a rack and a kickstand, so it commutes through the week and rides the bridleway at the weekend. The Clutch 160 family (160.7, 160.8 and 160.9) is the harder-hitting mountain-bike trio, with 170 mm forks and no luggage kit. We have a Clutch SUV 150.7 EQ in stock now at £6,999.

Game
The Game is the classic high-power electric mountain bike in the range, and it is the natural alternative to the Clutch. Where the Clutch uses a Pinion gearbox, the Game runs the new-generation Bosch Performance Line CX at 120 Nm with a conventional derailleur, rising to SRAM AXS electronic shifting at the top of the line. Most trims come with a 600 Wh battery and a 750 Wh option, so you can size the range to your rides.
It is the "point it and grin" bike: plenty of travel, stable on rough ground and happy to climb all day. If you want the most outright Bosch power and a familiar derailleur drivetrain, this is the one. Shop the Moustache Game.
Xroad FS
The Xroad FS is what Moustache call the SUV of the range. It pairs a suspension fork with a Moustache rear shock on a practical all-road frame, with mounts for mudguards and a rack, so it soaks up towpaths, forest roads and broken tarmac while still carrying kit. It comes as the FS 2, FS 4 and FS 6, climbing from a 75 Nm Bosch Performance Line motor up to the 120 Nm CX with a Kiox 500 display on the FS 6.

Dimanche 29 Gravel
The Dimanche 29 Gravel is the lightest, most road- and gravel-focused Moustache we stock. It is a drop-bar e-gravel bike running the compact Bosch Performance Line SX at 60 Nm with a slim 400 Wh battery, which keeps the weight down to around 18 kg on the flat-bar version. It is built for back lanes, bridleways and forest roads, and for keeping a good pace going on long days and light bike-packing trips.

Lundi
The Lundi is the relaxed city bike of the group, and an easier, lighter-touch choice than the off-road platforms. An upright riding position, easy step-through access and sensible everyday kit make it a calm, comfortable bike for errands and canal-path rides. The range runs from the Lundi 27 ES up to the 27.6, which adds a low-maintenance Enviolo hub and a Gates belt drive.
The Lundi is not a core line for us in the way the Clutch and the touring bikes are, so we carry it more occasionally. Shop the Moustache Lundi to see what is available.
About Moustache
Moustache is a French company, founded in 2011 and based in the Vosges region of eastern France. They build nothing but e-bikes, design their own frames, and assemble in France, and that focus shows in how thoroughly the motor, battery and cabling are integrated into every model.
Their thinking is close to ours. The bikes are made for real weather and real terrain, are easy to live with day-to-day, and are built to be kept and maintained for years rather than swapped out. Wearing parts such as tyres, brake pads, chains and cables are not covered, which is standard across the industry.
What ebikeist adds. You deal with us, not three separate manufacturers: we handle any warranty claim on your behalf and service the bikes in-house on a return-to-base basis. Every new bike comes with a free return-to-base check-up at four weeks, and existing customers get 30% off labour on future servicing. What is the difference between the Clutch and the Game?
Both are full-suspension electric mountain bikes, but the drivetrain sets them apart. The Clutch uses a Pinion MGU gearbox with a belt, which is sealed and very low maintenance.
